Interest Inventories are questionnaires that ask you about your likes and dislikes in a wide range of general activities. Your answers are used to develop a personal interest profile, which is then compared to the profiles of other groups of people who are successfully employed in various occupations. A high level of similarity between your profile and the profiles of people in particular jobs can give you some ideas of careers to explore. Interest inventories do not, however, tell you what you should or should not do or whether you have the skills and personality necessary to be successful in those careers.
CAVE Inc. provides the following Interest Inventories:
- The Holland Self-Directed Search (SDS) is an individualized self-directed exploration of vocational and occupational interests. Adult and student versions are available.

- eChoices is an excellent appraisal instrument of specific vocational areas of interest as they relate to the workplace of today.
CAVE, Inc. and its staff will not distribute, sell or offer any individuals’ evaluation results or personal information to any individual, company, agency, academic institution, and/or any organization without the client’s written permission.
